Caveau at the Mill and Heritage Square now serving Brothers Wines

I'm particularly proud to announce that Brothers Wines will now be available at the excellent Caveau restaurants (at both the Mill in Newlands, and Heritage Square in Cape Town city centre). Caveau has always been a favourite lunch and dinner spot of mine, both for lingering business luncheons as well as great dinners with friends and family. The food is magnificent, always fresh, interesting and not over complicated, whilst the wine list is exceptional. Hence the great pride in being selected to be a part of it.

Brothers Chardonnay ’08 will feature as wine of the week either during or just after Easter, and will take pride of place in their new, extensive wine list (I’ll keep you posted). For more on these great restaurants, check out http://www.caveau.co.za/ and tell Brendon Crew I sent you, to ensure a little additional pampering to be sure! Enjoy!

Best steak restaurants in SA

Click on the link: Best steak restaurants in SA

There's nothing better than a fantastic steak to accompany a fantastic wine (and no I haven't got it the wrong way around!). Check out these restaurants in South Africa for the best piece of beef in town... A fantastic accompaniment to Brothers Legacy, on special at Wine Concepts (Newlands) for just R88/bottle (cellar price still R70/bottle for a case).

Oysters and vino - there's no substitute

A day recently at the beach, shucking and munching oysters just nabbed off the rocks below. Needless to say, the shucking is always accompanied by reasonably copious amounts of wine sipping, until the oysters are all shucked and ready to slip-in beside. Nothing like a freshly caught giant South Coast oyster with a touch of Tabasco, a few drops of lemon and a bit of black pepper to accompany a really good wine. Life’s special little moments to cherish. Plenty more to come this year I fear!
